Olivi's Pie

Directions for baking a pie according to Olivia.

Mind you all of this is with absolutely no direction. This was a great activity. It kept her busy for neary an hour. Aunt Sophie told me that 2 yr.olds love play dough. She was right.

1. After the crust is rolled out, you begin to lift ito off the counter top

2. Don't worry if it sticks a little...just work with it

3. Then you put it into the tart pan

4. And lastly fill it with yellow goo

This is a terrible picture, I think the lens on my camera is dirty, yup it is...well you can certaily see that's its Olivia the pig. I'll try to post another picture later, after I clean the lens.

OLIVIA'S ROSE BUSH

When we were outside playing today, I noticed that Olivia's rose bush was in bloom again, so I thought that I would take some pics of her with the blossoms.

Here she is after I picked a rose for her. She enjoyed looking at it.

After I asked her to smell the rose, she wrinkled her nose and squished the flower in her hand.

Western Box Turtle

Apparently dogs like to eat turtles. Here are some pictures before Pookie became interested and before we had to hide him from a turtle crazed pooch. Pookie actually picked it up and carried away in her mouth. Oh, did I mention that Sophie dropped him, fortunately he wasn't hurt. "Boxie" has had a very bad day. He was probably doing great until we got hold of him. Poor guy!!!!

Telluride, CO

The Schmidts @ the river in Durango
"Dala" aka Gondola, we rode it from Mtn. Village to Telluride and back lots of times, the ride up and down took about 15 min.

Amazing vista from the pool, and I might add that this picture doesn't really do it justice. I think I need a better camera for that.
